My experience thus far on the Developer Factory program: |

Life after college. Always thought that after I completed my diploma in Information Technology the late nights stressing about assignments and due dates were over, well I guess I was wrong. Now that I’ve been given an opportunity to get the look and feel of a development environment I know that college was much easier. Being in the working industry you have to prove to yourself and everyone else that you are capable of doing the work. Software development takes a lot of hard work and dedication, so I realized to never take a programmers work lightly no matter how simple the software created may be. I also learned that I wouldn’t have it any other way I tend to get bored quickly but with programming there’s never a dull moment. I’m looking forward to more sleepless nights and stressful coding sessions in the world of software development. |

I have been an apprentice at the Developer Factory for the past two months. For the short time I’ve been here, I have experienced quite a lot from being introduced to a new programming language called Magic XPA to experiencing the actual working environment of an IT company. This has been an awesome experience because I added a new programming language which is really easy to learn to my list of skills and I’m actually involved in the development of real projects. Another skill to add to my list, is working with people. I always found it easier to work on my own but being at the developer factory taught me how to work and most importantly understand other people and their opinions. I’m enjoying each and every day here because there’s always something new to learn and it is only the beginning to what I believe to be “my bright future”. |
